First, to my nose 4711 shower gel smells exactly like 4711 cologne splash. Your nose may disagree.This shower gel isn't some grocery store/W*lmart shower gel (many of which are actually very nice) that I toss in my shopping cart without a second thought. No, 4711 shower gel is a purchase I think about, it's an indulgance, a gift I give to myself, because it's a cost per ounce thing. Milk & Honey by Suav* (which I truly love) is selling today at W*lmart for $2.97, or about 17 cents per ounce. In contrast, today's Amazon price for 4711 shower gel is $9.99, or about $1.47 per ounce. That's a pretty big difference.A ridiculously small bead of gel produces lots and lots of lather so my 200ml/6.8oz bottle will last a long time. The scent wafts through my house after I shower, making it smell like an expensive spa up in here. Layering on 4711 cologne splash afterward helps the fragrance stay on my skin for a little bit longer than it does using the gel alone.You wouldn't be looking at this if you didn't love the OG 4711 splash. Treat yourself! Buy this!

An acquired taste
I love 4711 because it’s so refreshing, but it’s not for everyone. The scent is very herbal and citrus, and slightly medicinal. It’s definitely unisex and not feminine. My only reservation is the smallish size ofthe bottle.

Iconic Scent
I'm obsessed with the scent of this wash - my mom used to wear the cologne when I was younger - it's the perfect mix of feminine and masculine. If you've never smelled 4711... give this a shot and fall in love!

This light, fresh scent! Still produced today. So much more pleasant than the usual men's aftershave

If you’re familiar with 4711 then you know the smell is very unique and lush. This smells just like the splash and the lather is just right. The size is 6.8 but it’s a wide bottle very compact no leaks & great to throw in your bag for the gym or weekend getaway. Also can refill which is a plus the scent does linger on body but only for about an hr after wash maybe get the splash to spray before bed. All in all great purchase would definitely recommend for anyone that likes a citrus sandalwood smell definitely unique, get it!
