I use one 12 oz. container of Motor Medic Lead Substitute for every tankful of gasoline for my 75 year old Ford with the original flathead engine. I've owned the car for 23 years, have used Lead Substitute religiously, and the engine continues to run beautifully. I don't know how much of the total credit goes to the fuel additive but one thing is for sure.... today's gasoline contains no lead so I add the substitute... and 'the proof is in the pudding.' It certainly can't hurt. I also add a couple of ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil to every fill-up, and that adds even extra protection!! I highly recommend Motor Medic Lead Substitute for any and all engines that were designed to run on leaded gasoline.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, I bought this when I was repairing a 1950's early 60's stihl contra for a friend. Noticing that the saw revs very high and gets unusually hot I wanted to do everything I could to improve the odds that the machine would survive its return to service and be a reliable tool again. I tried to tune the saw for reliability but if you go too wet it would start running away... it was just a high revving 138cc monster from its start. Second tact in preserving a beautiful piece of history, ensuring that it would receive only a rich fuel mix with lead substitute. I could hear the difference in the way the saw performed, I will be using the same tactic on the other antique saws in my slow moving personal queue.

It does leak a bit in shipping but I live above 6600 ft elevation

I like purchasing by the case. Beats going to auto store to purchase. It’s also much cheaper.
