Major upgrade

I read a few negative reviews on this pedal, most concerning air leaks. I was hesitant to buy because of that but I was unable to get in touch with the King of the Blast Cabinet upgrades. At any rate, Mine came quickly enough, does not leak at all and otherwise works perfectly. Plus, it includes a good gun. I'm very pleased.

This is junk. Regret buying; The fittings on the pedal are too small and they restrict air flow. Hoses are also too small. This is why Eastwood tells you to run psi at above 100psi.All this needs to be changed if you planning on using With a metering valve set up. After spending money on new fittings and hoses and also a new nozzle For the gun. This finally works and no need to run pressure so high. At 40-60 it works great. Try contacting Eastwood they didn’t even reply.I hope Eastwood sees the review and they give me a refund or credit because I had to spend money to make this work.

Perfect addition to my sand blasting cabinet. A little overpriced, but it adds up to the same amount if you buy parts individually (I tried!)

Let me say this... I'm sick of substandard and below par Chinese parts and equipment. If anyone is concerned about a war with China rest assured their equipment will probably fall apart or self destruct the first time it's used. I purchased this setup because it looked better than other stuff I considered, and it is, although only marginally better. The gun appears to work fine but it's the foot valve that sucks, and that is the most important part of the setup. After about 6 minutes of blasting at the recommended 90 PSI the foot valve stopped working and got stuck open. Here's the obvious issue for the engineers. The seal gets lifted off the sealing surface and pulled out of it's recess by the vacuum that makes the whole system work. See the pics that show the seal in place. Now this whole systems works on the Venturi effect meaning the airflow creates a vacuum used to pull media into the gun and then push it out at pressure. When the foot valve opens, the air passing through the valve creates that same vacuum (at the valve) and pulls the seal out of its proper location and the valve stops working. There needs to be a retainer to hold the seal in place, or better yet, a tapered metal-to-metal valve with no loose parts inside. The system works as long as the seal stays in place, about 6 minutes the first use and about 4 minutes after the first fix.

Bought this to use with my modified Harbor Freight blasting cabinet and it was a huge improvement! I built my own metering valve for the hopper that this pulls from. The foot pedal is also nice to have so your hands and trigger finger doesn't get worn out.

Was tired of holding the trigger on my prior sandblast gun and this one gets the media to come out so much faster. The foot switch makes it where you can blast for hours before your arm gets fired. With prior gun holding a trigger down that blast time was more like a half hour before my arm would tire out!
